An ANNOUNCEMENT and sneak peek

 Hello friends!
This was one of the hardest posts to write, but I shall do it today....
Announcement: our next challenge is going to be different from our usual one. This is the LAST challenge of 2015 and then...we are going to take a break! Yes, you heard that right...I need to recharge and re-energize. As you know, this challenge blog is a one-person operation. Back in March 2014, I started this challenge blog just for fun and it took off like crazy! I volunteered two family members (Dr. John and Stephanie) as my panel of judges. Both of them faithfully do their duty without any much complaint month after month. They do not get any perks (just room and board).

I have been thinking SO much about this for a few months now and it is one of the most difficult things to close this challenge. For nearly 2 years, I give this challenge blog my all: plan, comment, design, organize, invite, select and encourage...(repeat, repeat and repeat).

I am truly thankful for your unconditional support and encouragement. I know you love this challenge blog and I do not take that lightly. I hope that you will stick around after December's Challenge. I am not promising anything, but in time, I may return to run the challenge again if you will still have me. There may be a new format and style. Whatever the future may hold, I will still be around and am not going to ride off into the sunset.
You will still find me over at my personal blog: "Yes, Virginia...".

Yes, the challenge must go on in December.
There will be extra prizes, too!
TWO $25 gift vouchers for Simon Says Stamp will be awarded.
I do promise that we will have excellent guest designers to inspire you.

Two. More. days.

Our next challenge awaits!
A special shout out to our Super Sponsor: Simon Says Stamp
Thank you, Simon Says Stamp, for your continuing support!!

Let's save the best for last!
See you on  Dec. 1st!

I don't know why, but I had this feeling that your announcement will be something similar....I can totally understand that you want to take a break Virginia.. take a break and come back refreshed...your challenge will be missed, but we all need to take some time away to relax, and chill. I am pretty sure you will be active on your personal blog, and will see there. Have a great day!!

Having done only a smidge of the consistently fun and fabulous challenges you have managed for the last two years, Virginia, I totally understand. Enjoy your break and, of course, we will welcome you back if and when you feel like you want to do it again! In the meantime, we'll continue being inspired by you on your personal blog! Thank you for all you do!! Hugs, Darnell

Oh it is sad to hear you are closing your challenge. You always had such great themes and I loved the way you were presenting the results with the clusters of themes. There was always so much inspiration here. I loved to look at the cards displayed. I do know how much work such a blog is and I truely appreciate all you did with your team. Thank you so much and all the best for you in the future. I still hope to see this challenge alive again some time.

This challenge will be missed but I totally get it. I don't know how you've done it this past two years! Thank you for such a fun a enjoyable challenge, Virginia! Thanks again for gift certificate I won way back when. It was always an honor to be chosen in your wrap up posts or your spotlight posts. I look forward to playing in your last challenge! Could it have something to do with glitter, perhaps? ;-). If you do decide to start this up again I'll be there to play for sure! Big hugs, Virginia! :-)

I think all of us bloggers know the feeling from time-to-time of being overwhelmed and needing to take a little breakski. I've ardently admired your challenge and your kindness. Wishing you all the best!

A huge thanks from me too for you wonderful challenge, Virginia! I truly believe that hosting it has become too much for you to deal with on your own. Blogging alone takes a lot of time, and I can't even imagine how much effort you've put in this challenge blog. I've really loved to play along with your challenges and I hope that you might find a new format for it (maybe with some more crafty helpers in the background). However, for now, thanks again. And I mean THANKS! I so hope to play along with your last December challenge. The sneak peak looks promising. :)

Virginia, I think I've told you before, you are SUPERwoman!! It is mind boggling how you've carved out time to manage this beast on your own, and for two years no less!! You put so much love and effort into making this a fun place for card makers to hang out. You (and your judges panel) are amazing, my friend! Be proud of all that you've accomplished : )

A fantastic challenge with trendy topics and talented guest designers. Your loving comments on all the entries. And the effort put in by your "volunteer" judges. What a fun time we all got to have. And no doubt, you are ready for a break. Thanks for doing what you do so well and sharing your talents with us. Looking forward to more Virginia cards around blogland with all your free time (tee hee hee)!

Oh boy, do you ever deserve this hiatus. What an incredible effort you've put into keeping this challenge open and I'm positive everyone appreciates it. I often wondered, with all the work you did on this blog, if you really ever saw your family, but then you'd post a lovely vacation or culinary creation on Yes, Virginia, and I'd know that you were taking care of them. I honestly don't know how you did it this long, but am so glad you did. Personally, want to thank you for all the fun, guests, challenges, etc., that made this so successful. Looked forward to it each month. Be well, be happy and keep creating. Again, thank you. I'll still be stalking you on "Yes, Virginia", though.

I will be sorry to see this go, even if only for a while (if you decide to reactivate it)! But I totally understand. I'm sure all of us who like to play along will be here if you decide to start up again! Thank you for all your hard work. Hope you have a wonderful holiday season!

I can't imagine how much time it takes you... Just sorting through all the entries and then trying to pick your top choices, not to mention coming up with the challenge, and the inspiration. I think we can all certainly understand if you need a break!

Oh, V! I totally understand about taking a break. Honestly, I don't know how you kept doing the challenge straight through! I know you have lots of support from your sweet family but still, everyone needs to step back now and then and I'm happy you decided to do so--for your health and sanity! I haven't played too much but look forward to December! Hugs!

Thank you so much for giving so much of yourself to this blog over the last two years. Although I have not played along with each one, I have been inspired by every challenge that you created. With everything that you have given, it is completely understandable that you need some time off. You will be very missed here but I am a big fan of your designs so I will be stopping by Yes Virgina!

You have been wonderful what you have achieved in the year this has run. You have managed to get sooooo many followers and people entering your challenges. You and your family have done the most amazing job and you have always come up with just the perfect challenge each month. I will continue to hound you just so I dont miss anything and who knows...... Maybe...... With a bit of help from friends......take care. I plan to enter this challenge and will continue to enjoy your company through your other posts. Hugs Aileen XXXX

Now, I will enter December challenge, but please stop exploring your family -
